Smt. Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management & Research for Women is a Pune-based institute dedicated to women’s management education.
HNIMR is part of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), an organization with a long-standing commitment to women’s education. The institute offers management education in an environment that values professional development and independent thinking.
Its MBA programme is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute’s current site also lists approval by AICTE, DTE and the Government of Maharashtra.

The MKSSS heritage
Founded by Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1896, MKSSS has worked to advance education for women. HNIMR carries that wider educational purpose into management learning.
The parent organization’s founding date is distinct from HNIMR’s own establishment history.
